Training the community, a priority for Anthropic
Anthropic has just unveiled its own online training platform, Anthropic Academy. The idea? To equip developers, professionals and the general public in the use of his star model Claude. The initiative offers a structured journey from the basics of AI to advanced enterprise deployments. The icing on the cake: certificates.
Courses for the whole ecosystem
The academy offers several thematic modules:
- AI Fluency – The fundamentals of artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
- API Development – Build applications powered by Claude's API, step-by-step.
- <stro ng>Model Context Protocol (MCP) – Mastery of open source protocol to connect models to external data sources.
- Claude Code – Claude as a coding assistant in your IDE.
- Introduction to Cowork – Collaborate effectively with Claude on a daily basis.
Each course is intended to be progressive, with practical exercises and quiz. Certificates of achievement are issued at the end of each module.
Three routes, three uses
To adapt to needs, Anthropic Academy organizes its content into three main sections:
- Build with Claude – For developers who integrate Claude via the API: coding guides and architecture examples.
- Claude for Work</stro ng> – For teams and companies, with business use cases and good governance practices.
- Claude for Personal – For individuals who exploit Claude in their personal projects, writing or learning.
A newsletter to keep up
Anthropic also offers a quarterly newsletter called AI Fluency. On the menu: research, frameworks and resources on human-IA collaboration. An ideal complement to the academy's courses.
“The goal is to democratize access to AI skills and allow as many people as possible to take advantage of Claude responsibly and effectively,” says an Anthropic spokesperson.
Free and accessible
For now, all Anthropic Academy courses are free. Simply create an account to access it. This strategy is in line with Anthropic's desire to retain the developer and business community, as competition rages with OpenAI (GPT-4o), Google (Gemini) and Meta (Llama).
Why it matters
This academy fills a void: until now, the documentation and training around Claude were scattered between the technical blog, community tutorials, and API documentation. With this centralized platform, Anthropic is giving itself the means to accelerate the adoption of its model, especially in professional environments where training is a prerequisite for deployment.
The first feedback on social networks is positive. Users applaud the clarity of the content and the quality of the demonstrations. It remains to be seen whether the academy will manage to maintain a steady pace of updates, as the field of AI evolves at breakneck speed.
